How to Commission a Portrait

Joyce is a member of the Portrait Society of America
and the American Society of Portrait Artists.
The Process
- Select your favorite photo that you want turned into a beautiful portrait.
- Select a category from the price list below.
- Send the original photo (not a color xerox or a digital file via an e-mail ) via regular U.S. mail to
Joyce Designs Inc.,
853 Seventh Avenue, Suite 9 C,
New York, NY, 10019.
- The original photo is necessary to guarantee the correct colors. It will be returned along with the finished portrait.
- Please make sure, if there is more than one subject, they must all appear in the same photo. This is to guarantee correct proportion between the subjects.
- Please fill out the web form (below) and send it to Joyce
- When Joyce receives the photo and the web form info, she will contact you by phone and discuss composition. We will also answer any questions or requests you may have and confirm the deposit and total price of the painting
- To begin a portrait, a previously agreed upon deposit is required.
- A check or money order made out to Joyce Designs Inc, are the excepted methods of payment.
- The painting will require at least four weeks to complete, after the deposit is received.
- Joyce will contact you, when the portrait is completed at this time the full payment is due.
- The portrait will ship when the balance of payment is received.
- Please note, there is a "no return" policy on custom ordered artwork.
